Taking an old path to a new place,

Mysterious and peaceful, its

Riddles we’ll unwind

Be as the tranquil forest:

Allow your mists to dissipate

Slowly, ghostlike

In the morning sun

Anxiety, tension;

These are caused by leaning against


Or so the sage said

Life, having made us

Complex, curious, useful, using;

Builders, destroyers, tinkerers ~

Now simplify us

Ideas that fill the belly

Like a feast, should be savored, enjoyed ~

Also, attend to the gadfly

Do not hold power in.

Swim easily on the Sea of Gravity;

Float calmly down River Time


Let what you hear

Sift through the charcoal of your mind,

Then pour sparingly, like whiskey

I heard the wind say

There is no end to the means

Nor trophy in death

You will not find her

Win or lose, in the result ~

In the play she smiles

Evil incarnate

But ultimate good as well ~

Now what do I do?
