Crown Of Thorns

Do we all look like ants from your pedestal?

You’re feeding on their attention and yet are you full?

I cannot help but observe how they all treat you,

I wonder if they see a wolf as I do.

You’re taking credit for words that are not even yours,

I’m the man behind the scenes but you show me no remorse.

You’re performing my words with no emotions at all,

I won’t be front news so I’ll sit back and watch you fall.

I should have seen the ways you would use me,

I was in love but you ripped my heart out.

Now I feel weak, I have no words to speak, You took them too!

I’m just living in your shadow.

Where are the stones to throw at me?

Because I see what you really are,

A False Prophet, you won’t stop it.

You’re no Messiah,

But you don’t see the web you weave,

It will trap you and then they’ll see you naked and torn.

Because I won’t wear your Crown of Thorns.

I’ll let you play Jesus while I’ll play Judas,

You sat back and watched, as I became something from the dust.

When the opportunity arose you took all the credit,

One day each of your followers will unveil the bullshit.

Revenge was always something I suppressed into my core,

Sit back and wait, until you find out what I have in store.

Don’t worry I’m not going to look for you with a bat,

By the grace of God, you know I’m better than that!

Grounded

High above the clouds I long to be,

So high up that I cannot be seen.

All your words created no sounds,

Your silence kept me on the ground.

Why would you dim my shine?

Why is there no love I find?

Why do I ask this of you?

Why should I start loving you?

It’s quite clear that I’m losing all my grip,

I am trapped inside of this sinking ship.

Can we talk without your fallen shouts?

You can’t go on, you always had your doubts.

You clipped my wings so I cannot fly,

My heart is torn and I long to die.

Your chains of lies keep me oh so bound,

And I cannot fly off of this ground.

You never took me up that high,

All I wanted was to freaking fly!

Your chains of lies keep me tied up here,

Now that I’m gone, do you feel me, dear?

Aidenn

In the midnight hour, I am not alone,

There is something crawling deep in my bones.

It is watching me sleep and haunting my home,

There is no escaping from all these angry ghosts.

I can hear something knocking at my door,

Whispering voices call out for “Lenore”.

I can feel the Raven; it’s taking over my mind,

I can feel the Shadows, trying to cast out the light,

I can feel the Darkness trying hard to ease my pain,

I can feel them inside of me, making me insane.

I am trying so hard to go right back to sleep,

Someone tells me a secret I must keep.

I can hear something knocking at my door,

The Shadow dances and sings “Nevermore”.

I cannot see my Shadow anymore,

It is now a toy for sweet little Lenore.

Find A Way

Long lost words whisper,

They welcome me back home.

Where have you been?” They ask.

It’s time to breathe again.”

I got so tired of just sitting here and waiting for you.

I know whatever I do; my heart will always be broken.

But I’ll find a way,

I will always find a way.

All my hurt echoes,

I’m in pain and no one knows.

I wear my smile so well,

I’m peaceful in this private Hell.

There’s no point in building Paradise because I’ve burnt it down,

I’ve been lost for so long, I don’t think that I’ll ever be found.

But I’ll find a way,

I will always find a way.

Black Widow

It has been too long since you left this hole in our hearts,

Here in the dark where we laid, we could not find you.

All for a girl with poison drowning out her every word.

Was it worth all of the pain that you gave back to us?

Can you not see past her lies?

When will you wake up my dear?

You are no longer free,

You are trapped in her web of lies.

She is a Black Widow,

She will eat out your soul.

She poisoned your mind,

And your death she’ll define.

Is this what you had in mind, when you left us behind?

Here is your pride that you lost when you had your fix.

You regret what you did, but we all know it is too late.

You are now cold and alone lying in your bed made from chestnut and pine.

There is your lovely bride; a desperate man she will again, soon find.

Get Out Of My Head!

Stop! I need to breathe and get relief.

Somehow, it’s hard to do with you running inside of my mind.

I was in control until you barged inside.

You’re making this your home while living rent free.

There’s no room to think about anything else,

I can smell your cologne “Squatter” by Calvin Klein.

It’s like Déjà vu except it’s your ugly face staring back at me, call the doctors please!

Can I get back what you have taken?

If this is war then you won,

I just want my thoughts back home.

You’re controlling my every thought and it’s killing me softly,

So I beg you please; Get Out Of My Head!

Hydrotherapy is killing me,

I need anything to get rid of your looming scent.

Doctors cannot fix this crazy mess.

You are crawling deeper within the confines,

You’re scratching the walls and screaming inside me.

The echoes cut through my bitter soul and heart.

Can no one help me?

I’m here going crazy in my own damn mind!

Can I get back what you have taken?

If this is war then you won,

I just want my thoughts back home.

You’re controlling my every thought and it’s killing me softly,

So I beg you please… Get Out Of My Head!

High-Low

I see you staring, Baby doll, at me.

I feel you near me, You’re driving me crazy.

Why do you have me under your spell?

While you know I like it.

Don’t care if you’re playing a game,

Because I can play it the same.

I just want your dream inside me, with a new possibility.

Erasing all the stress I had,

Call the cops I want to be bad.

Lock me up; make me earn your key.

See what you are doing to me?

High-Low, you got me High Low.

High-Low, you got us High Low.

If this is a dream, do not wake me.

I don’t want to lose this picture of us.

The night is young and small talk takes up time.

Let’s not use our words!

Tonight you’ll be a busy bee,

Trying your best to please me.

Looking like a real home dinger,

By morning, you’ll lose your stinger.

Don’t say your name, I just don’t care,

You had me here with just one stare.

So make your move if you will dare,

No matter what, we are still High-Low.

Perfect Dream

Let’s forget about the problem,

It is not like we can solve ‘em.

All of my focus is on you,

And I love everything you do.

I’m alive when you look at me,

It’s like my flaws you do not see.

I will never complain my love.

I know you’re the one so true, my Perfect Dream.

I’m in your arms hearing you breathe,

Kiss me so I won’t have to leave.

When I am sad, you make me smile,

Do not jump ship, let’s stay a while.

You whisper that you love me dear,

And that you’ll never leave me here.

You’re quick to get rid of my fear.

When you look me in the eyes though,

It’s like you’re looking through my soul.

I think you were made just for me.

Don’t count the days until our end,

Each second with you, I will spend,

You’re more than my love, you’re my friend.

I’m just happy that this won’t end.

I know you’re the one so true, my Perfect Dream.

Do you hear the monsters? They’re calling.

We’re stuck on this sinking ship stalling.

I see that the Kraken is coming,

You are quick in saving just yourself,

You took the last rescue boat, darling.

Is it true you’re swimming for yourself?

It is hard to avoid the shipwreck,

It seems you are never caught thinking,

As you start to navigate I’m lost, I won’t cry out losing this battle.

Perfect Dream is just fiction to me.

I’m on this sinking ship all alone…drifting into eternal dreams.
